Travel Document in lieu of a damaged Passport
 
  Applications for new passports in lieu of damaged passport are requested to follow the same procedure applicable for a lost passport.

  The applicant, who is calling at the Embassy personally, should produce a letter to the Embassy explaining the cause and the nature of the damage, along with the damaged passport.
