Applications for police clearance can be forwarded to the Police headquarters in Colombo by the Embassy.
Sri Lankan nationals living abroad may submit their request for a police clearance certificate directly to the Inspector-General of Police, Police Headquarters, Colombo 01, Sri Lanka if they wish to do so. In such cases the Police Clearance Certificate would be sent directly to the applicant. Or they can apply for a police clearance certificate through the Embassy.

- Duly completed application form-
Application for Police Clearance Certificate - Original Sri Lankan travel document with two photocopies of the data page
- Proof of residence
- Clear copy of NIC
- Resident permit
- Relevant fee
